Children’s Memories 12 February 22
Before my youngest daughter was born, I would often ‘see’ an image of her in my mind’s eye. It would happen when I least expected it. When I became pregnant, she continued to visit and we would ‘talk’ about her impending arrival and life on earth.
She continued to surprise me long after she was born. She learned to walk at 9 months old and could talk in sentences not long after, she seemed to outgrow childhood very quickly. She would organise all the other babies, many of whom, were much older than her. She would ‘mother’ and take it upon herself to walk along the line of babies in their car seats at the nursery groups popping their dummies in their mouths, feeding them their bottles, or handing them the toys they had dropped, she never wanted to play with the older children, she was happiest looking after the little ones.
Around the age of 18 months old, I was doing my usual chores, and I heard her say “I am the mum, I do that”. I looked down at this tiny, little toddler and smiled. I bent down to her level and looked her directly in the eyes, and said “Do you remember, I am the mum in this lifetime?” She smiled back and said, “No, I am the mum?” I gently replied, “We agreed, this time around, I would be your mum, and you would be the daughter.” Her little voice replied, “okay” and off she ran to do something else, the moment gone.
On one other occasion, she said the same thing, and once again I reminded her that I was the mum, after that she never ever said it again. However, she continues to this day to adore looking after babies, and children. As a young teenager, she started babysitting for the neighbours, before eventually moving on and working as a nanny in London for many years whilst studying at university.
Personally, I have always been fascinated about past lives, as some people are about other things like cars, or antiques. We can and do access our past lives at any time if we so chose. When I am working with my clients, it can be helpful to view their past or future lives as it can contribute to their growth in this life experience, and that would usually be the reason for doing so.
It is not unusual for small children, mostly between the ages of 2-4 years old to recall past lives. It can happen spontaneously, for example when they visit a house or town where they lived in a former lifetime. The timelines converge, and they can see their former lives usually with great depth of detail, similar to what we experience when we have a lucid dream. In some cases, they remember a former life as a family member who is now deceased. They have chosen to return to a different body to the same family for their next life experience.
My daughter knew that she had been my mother in a previous lifetime, and I, her daughter. This is one example of how we can be aware of who we are simultaneously in our multi-dimensional universe. Like children, we have the opportunity of seeing more of the matrix we are living in. Let us open our hearts and mind to all that we are, and all that we will become.
